Aldworth Badminton 🏸 Club-Basingstoke-Details

We meet every Thursday Evening at The Blue Coats School (Formerly known as The Aldworth School) - 19:00 - 20:30

We have a good cross section of Badminton Players who are friendly, fun and sociable. We operate a peg board system to ensure that everyone plays an equal number of games through out the evening.

You must be 18, have played badminton, so not a beginner and have a sense of humour.

Our charges are very reasonable £5 per evening or become a member and pay - school term by term which means less than £5 per evening.

Our Facilities and Location

There is plenty of parking available either by Western Way at the front of the school or Pinkerton Rd at the back. The Sports Hall is accessible via the front or the back car parks.

News

Forthcoming Exam Closures

Aldworth School is closed for Badminton on the following weeks mainly due to mock exams and exams. The dates are:

Thursday 2nd October 2025 for an Open Evening.

Thursday 4th December for mock exams

Thursday 11th December for mock exams

Christmas Day Thursday 25th December 2025

New Year-Thursday 1st January 2026 and Easter.

We are organising other venues where we can, the schools all have their exams at exactly the same time to avoid any cheating. So there are not many venues available.

About Aldworth Badminton Club

We are a non profit making organisation.

We have a Club constitution which is available for anyone to read.

We are very Covid conscious and have a risk assessment which is held by the Blue Coats School (formerly known as The Aldworth School) which covers both Covid and any other conditions and situations which could be a risk.

Currently we follow Government and Badminton England guidance.

We are very General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) aware and keep as little information about our members and visitors as possible and all information we do keep is kept securely.

We have insurance with the Blue Coats School (formerly known as The Aldworth School) to cover any injuries which occur whilst members and visitors are on the premises.
